Initial contact by email answered very quickly, consultation appointment offered almost immediately. Location instructions easy to follow. Very pleasant atmosphere, quiet, calm, spacious waiting areas.

I found the expereince of catract surgery much less stressful than expected. The surgical, medical and support staff put me at my ease. The private waiting room and very welcome and delicious meal after the operation were first class.

At every stage everything was done to allay my anxiety

Surprised by the waiting around. Surprised the surgeon seemed in a blind rush to get it all done on the day with back to back operations - absolutely ghastly. i thought the information pack given pre/post surgery needed serious reworking for clarity. It even has conflicting information. And a line is required in an email saying no contacts to be worn 4 days before or whatever it was - most people will only read the big bumpf on the way to an appointment. By then it’s too late if appointment preparation is one line within that. One optician leant his leg against my leg. It’s avoidable. We don’t know if he’s a good guy or a perv. He also seemed quite sensitive when I said I was worried about my eye post-op rather than reassuring. Private doctors should have other doctors covering them when they go on holiday or shouldn’t operate before they are become unavailable. I didn’t think the admin person was that nice or clear or reassuring. And I was surprised there wasn’t even a call of follow up when I mentioned I was struggling with my sight. In the medical team there seemed to be some disbelief about the discomfort I experienced - and my culpability regarding it… Very “press release” - never explain, never apologise… Very medical and back-covering. On the whole I would not recommend for the price. A nice enough team. A tough few weeks.

My eyesight has been transformed and I am delighted with the result. A fortnight ago I had a double cataract procedure performed by Mr Rajesh Deshmuk. He gave me very helpful advice and was very clear about the possible risks. We discussed what would give the best results in terms of lens implants and went for two enhanced monofocal and EDOF lenses. I no longer require glasses and both my long and medium distance sight is very good. All in all I am very pleased and can recommend Mr Deshmukh very highly.
