Led by internationally recognised Ophthalmic Consultants with NHS appointments, the team at iSIGHT Clinic is supported by skilled ophthalmic nursing staff, orthoptists, optometrists, and technicians. Drayton House, originally built in the 1840s, was transformed in December 1993 into Britain's first specialist eye day-case hospital by local Ophthalmologist Tayo Akingbehin. This aimed to deliver excellence in eye care within a non-hospital environment, utilising modern technology for ophthalmic treatment.
The historic Drayton House, a Grade 2 listed Victorian building, underwent sympathetic restoration to preserve its elegant features while accommodating fully equipped operating theatres, consulting and diagnostic rooms, and support services.
In 2009, the clinic expanded its reach with the addition of satellite clinics in Windermere (formerly Charles Adam Clinic), Liverpool, and Burscough, leading to a name change to iSIGHT Clinics.
The specialist services offered at iSIGHT Clinics encompass a wide range, including cataract surgery, age-related macular degeneration (AMD) treatment, squint correction, cosmetic eye surgery, refractive lens exchange, YAG laser capsulotomy, glaucoma treatment, oculoplastic surgery, general ophthalmology, and neuro-ophthalmology.

I underwent vision correction surgery at iSIGHT Southport. All of the staff I encountered before, during and after the procedure were highly courteous and professional throughout. Unfortunately, sometime down the line following the procedure, I did encounter a problem with my vision. It had been fully explained to me prior to the procedure that this may be the case due to my particular prescription. Fortunately, although I had left contacting the clinic for some time following my operation, when I did so the staff were again extremely courteous and professional, and fully listened to my concerns. The issue was successfully resolved for which I am very, very grateful. Again, all of the staff at iSIGHT Southport are fantastic at their work, and I would particularly like to thank Liza, Business Development Officer and, of course, Mr Dubois, Ophthalmic Surgeon. I would highly recommend iSIGHT Clinic.

Unbelievable. Felt so relaxed . Staff are lovely and friendly. Liza Smallman was very caring.. Mr Vincent Dubois ( surgeon ) was outstanding. I didn’t think anything could be done for my Left eye BUT he made it better than it ever has been. I’ve never been able to read with that eye as it was so weak. Looking forward to having my Right eye done in a couple of weeks. And no reason to fear. Amazing team.

I had lens replacement surgery in both eyes, 4 weeks apart. The procedure was explained thoroughly to me and I fully understood what to expect. I was quick and painless and I am now glasses free!!!! So happy
