Since I was around 13 years old I have been petrified of dentists and began refusing to go. I couldn't even walk past a dentist's office, without feeling a level of fear even though I wouldn't have to go in and see one. My parents could not get me out of the house and go to an appointment. Every time I was booked in, it became a fight to get me out of the house and eventually, they had to give up trying to get me to go. In January 2025 I finished Invisalign treatment that I have been dreaming of having for at least the last 5 years. It started in January 2024 with a simple phone call as I had been recommended to love teeth a few years before and finally pushed myself to try going again after around 15 years of no appointments. From the first call, everyone has been welcoming and accommodating. I wanted to make it clear that I had such a massive fear of dentists and find out what they could do for someone like me who couldn't go through the front door without tearing up. None of the staff I have interacted with over the past year have had any issues with helping me handle being afraid. I have had several treatments including regular check-ups, hygenist visits, frequent invisalign catch-ups, whitening, a retainer wire, and plastic retainer scans and fittings. At my most recent appointment, I found visiting the dentist as easy as doing a weekly shop. This is entirely the result of the work done by the team at Love Teeth to help me overcome something I never thought I would be able to do.
