The room, in particular the bathroom, was very old fashioned and could do with modernisation

Lovely, helpful and attentive staff. In my room the shower needed fixing, I wasn't able to have a proper shower. The menu is OK but some of the food was cheap and poor quality. These issues would not stop me using the Cobham Clinic again, the most important thing is the care whwas excellent.

My overall experience was good, but there was a problem when I arrived for my operation at midday I had to wait for my to be ready. At 14.30 I asked when when my room would be ready and was informed that the bed manager was still trying find a bed for me somewhere in the hospital I informed the staff that I was self funding my treatment and I had paid for a room in the Cobham Clinic. About 10 minuets later whilst I was waiting in one of the examination rooms the Anaesthetist came in and asked me to sign the form for my op. This was followed by the Operating Theatre Sister coming in and saying that they were ready to proceed with my op. I then got changed in the office and the Sister said as there was no bed available at the moment ,she would request a wheel chair to take me up to the theatre or we could both walk to the lift and the go to the ops theatre and I said that that was fine by me. In the operating room she said before they sedated me that they had found me room and I would wake up in room 14 in the Cobham Suite. So everything worked out fine. I felt that all the staff handled the situation well and in a very professional manner. My treatment was first class apart from the room incident ,I would like to thank all the Cobham and Barras's team for the excellent skills.

Asked to arrive at 07:30 and then straight away was asked the same questions as at the previous pre-op meeting. I was told I would be taken to surgery in the afternoon so I had to wait in my room for the day. However after being allowed water and a sandwich at 9.30am, I wasn't taken for my surgery until 18:00. To make it worse, nobody came into check up on me or advise what was happening at any time during the day. When I was brought back to the ward at 10pm ,very groggy, I was then offered food which turned out to be a congealed roast dinner . Surely, something lighter and fresher could have been offered. The following day staff were lovely, especially Tito (?) so this care was good.

Overall experience was good but television reception is rubbish considering my treatment was private. Also one nurse on my last day was so standoffish for the second time of my admission over 12 months. Really not nice person. 😕
