About Dr Khaleel Jamil
Dr Khaleel Jamil is an experienced Consultant in Gastroenterology and General Internal Medicine with specialist expertise in Hepatology. He is based in the South of England and currently sees private patients at Spire Montefiore Hospital in Hove, Nuffield Health Haywards Heath Hospital in Haywards Health and Nuffield Health Brighton Hospital in Brighton.
Dr Jamil completed his degrees in medical sciences and medicine at the University of Cambridge and University of Oxford in 1998 and 2001 respectively. After qualifying, he completed training in London. During his training he developed extensive knowledge and skills in all areas of gastroenterology and hepatology. Dr Jamil was awarded his Membership with the Royal College of Physicians of London in 2004.
Following his training, Dr Jamil was a clinical research fellow for a year in Australia. In 2015 he was awarded his PhD for his 3-year research work at Imperial College London, graduating with an extensive publication record.
He has gained expert experience at major London teaching hospitals including Kings College Hospital, St Mary's Hospital and Barts and the Royal London, and is a consultant hepatologist at Brighton and Sussex University Hospital. Dr Jamil is known for his excellent care and use of evidence-based practise combined with the knowledge and skills he acquired during his training.

Dr Jamil was very kind and understanding. He fully explained the diagnosis and the various treatment options.

Dr Jamil gave me a very knowledgeable explanation of my tummy problem and has arranged for me to have a blood test and a CT scan in double quick time at the local NHS hospital and will contact me with the results.

Dr Jamil was incredibly helpful in fitting me into his schedule. We sent him a lot of detailed information shortly before the appointment. He had completely assimilated this by the time I saw him and was able to be really clear and informative with my diagnosis at the appointment. He was incredibly warm, supportive and proactive throughout. Prompt treatment was incredibly important to me. Dr Jamil responded brilliantly to the situation and got his letter out to us in super fast time.
