I read about Mole mapping in the national press. The nearest clinic of the organisation reviewed was in Brighton and didn't get great reviews, so interest picked I checked the Nuffield in Haywards Heath (visited before with good outcomes) and found Mr. Farrents clinic. I called and booked. On the day I was punctually taken into consultation with Mr. Farrant. Stripping to underwear he quickly assessed my condition and concluded I didn't have any moles and therefore mapping was unnecessary. He spent some time explaining what he was seeing and went into some detail with recommendations for home treatments. There was no urgency to the consultation and I left much wiser and reassured I didn't have anything to be concerned about. The recommendation was to return in five years. I did subsequently, that day receive a short report confirming what had been discussed.
Thank you for your review. I get a fair number of people who book for "mole mapping" where this may not be in their best interest. I always try to explain that and sometimes a whole body check is better for the individual and where that is the case I reduce the fee to a standard consultation. Mole mapping is really aimed at high risk patients who maybe have multiple larger higher risk moles, eg atypical features or have a past history of skin cancer. I will always give honest advice about what is best for you and avoid you having an unnecessary more expensive service.

I had 2 moles removed by shave excision. Dr Farrant explained in detail the procedure before doing it. I have a needle phobia and was extremely nervous but it was absolutely fine. Barely felt a thing and it was over super quickly. Thank you so much Dr Farrant!

Each visit was prompt, professional, efficient and ultimately very successful. Careful explanations of condition and treatment both before during and after the procedure. Good follow up advice was given and hopeful my condition now needs no further reatment.

Dr Farrant came highly recommended. Due to Covid it was unfortunate that my husband could not join me in the consultation, however I was led by Dr Farrant's advice. I was with provided several options and I felt that independently the decision was best left with Dr Farrant. I feel somewhat optimistic by the treatment and hope that results will be forthcoming.
