About Dr Zdenek Slavik
Dr Zdenek Salvik is a consultant paediatric cardiologist at Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals, where he treats private patients.
He graduated from medical school in Prague, Czech Republic, in 1982 before undergoing specialist training and gaining board certification in paediatrics and paediatric cardiology. From 1995-97, he was a consultant paediatric intensive care physician at Glenfield Hospital, Leicester.
In 1997, he was appointed consultant paediatric intensivist and cardiologist at Harefield Hospital. Then, in 2001, he took up the same position at Royal Brompton Hospital. Dr Slavik has been a consultant paediatric cardiologist at Royal Brompton Hospital since 2005.
Dr Slavik has been Visiting Professor in Paediatrics since 2000 and Associate Professor of Paediatrics at Charles University, Medical School Pilsen, Czech Republic
