I’m a retired full time London doctor. Also a high myope, ( >-10 bilaterally ) which adds to the difficulty in cataract surgery. Miss Richardson came highly recommended, and I know she has operated on many fellow doctors. I chose to go privately, in particular so I could have the newer multifocal lenses, which at the time of my surgery, were not available on the NHS. Hopefully that will change (J&J Pure-See Tecnis, in case you’re wondering) The other reason was , of course, to have my choice of Ophthalmologist. Miss Richardson gave me great advice, both on the lense choice, and degree of correction. The surgery has gone well indeed. The result has been for me, a fantastic optical outcome., And I’ve been free of surgical complications. In short, I have been completely happy with her expert care, skill and advice..

Mss Richardson took care of every aspect of my appointment with her. She personally whether it was during working hours or outside working hours or weekends she made sure that I saw her at the earliest opportunity. She ensured that I received all scans that were required. She made sure that I received all information leaflets that applied to my condition and advised on where & when I should attend future appointments. I could not believe that I received her letter about my results the day Iafter my appointment. She had already informed me of the results verbally. I have never known such dedication which Miss Richardson showed. She is warm, caring & has a great sense of humour. I believe she must be a leading consultant in her field.

Dr Richardson was very welcoming and concerned about my situation. She certainly wants to do her best for her patients. I’d highly recommend Dr Richardson because she will take care of you, whatever your needs are.

Following cataract surgery 2 years ago - I developed Posterior Capsular Opacification In both eyes (which is apparently very common) whereby my vision became very blurry - so much so that it was affected my work and driving. I was told by 2 ophthalmologists that nothing could be done about it. I therefore made an appointment with Miss Richardson and within 2 weeks I had laser surgery which took less than 10 minutes and now have perfect vision! Miss Richardson has literally changed my life and I can't thank her enough - not only for her professionalism but also her kind and caring nature. I'd have no hesitation to recommend Miss Richardson

I thank my lucky stars for a cataract referral to Ms Richardson - quite the best consultant ophthalmologist ever! I could not be more satisfied: she is calm, professional and, although clearly a leader in her field, remarkably unstuffy, warm and approachable. She explained everything about the procedure to me and visited me both before and after surgery for a complex cataract, skilfully performed. Her dedication and patient-oriented approach is second-to-none. Couldn’t recommend her more!

Could not recommend Ms Richardson any higher. Took time to really explain the options and what they would entail. Was exceptionally flexable around when the surgery would take place and where. Fitted me on a weekend at a time that would suit. The surgery and post surgery care was fantastic.

Ms Richardson is an exceptional Surgeon, takes care of every detail. Very approachable and answeres questions fully. There is no doubt in my mind anyone under her care is very fortunate.
