Looked after really well and everything was explained to me clearly before the surgery and also with the aftercare. I have just had surgery on both of my eyes, and the result is fantastic. I have worn contact lenses since I was 17 and glasses since I was 7 as I had a lazy eye. It was brilliant to find out I could have replacement lenses as I had always been told as I had a lazy eye I couldn't have laser treatment etc. Mr Rehman the surgeon was kind, calm and very professional and I felt at ease as soon as he told me it was possible to have the operations. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Rehman and the team at Optegra, who were all very attentive and kind. A special thank you to the nurse who held my hand while I squeezed it, it must have hurt but she didn't complain and I felt better knowing she was there. The procedure was not painful but you do feel pressure now and then, but that is so worth it for the result at the end, Thanks also to Mr Rehmans PA Eileen Haynes she made my appointments to suit me and was very helpful throughout the process. EDOF and Trifocal Lens Replacment I had lens replacement surgery at the Yorkshire Eye Hospital in Bradford in March 2020. I had both eyes operated on at the same time with a combination of EDOF and Trifocal lenses, The pre and post surgery care was excellent and the results have been amazing, I was wearing bifocal glasses previously with a 2.0 reading strength. I needed glasses for reading, computer work, driving, pretty much everything and I am now glasses free. I haven't even considered needing them since the surgery. Mr Rehman's consultations were very helpful in identifying the best lens selection for me and the surgery itself was efficient and painless. I very much recommend this procedure and Optegra.

Right from the first consultation for cataract surgery I was impressed by the caring attitide of Mr Rehman who was supportive throughout the whole of the procedure. I have recommended him to my friends and family. I was delighted, even after the first eye operation, at the lovely fresh colours, especially the greens of the grass and foliage. After the second operation, I had superb visions and when my eye tests came around only weeks later I was told my long sight was 20/20. You can imagine after wearing glasses with Varifocal lenses for at least 20 years how it felt to see distant objects and especially to drive without glasses. Imagine how cheap it is to buy off the shelf shades and reading glasses and choose up to date styles without it costing a fortune.

The treatment i have received has been of the highest standard.

From the outset Mr Rehman was kind and professional. I saw him a couple of weeks before the operation (complete lens replacement) and he explained in great detail, with diagrams, exactly what the operation entailed. He gave me plenty of time to ask questions. On the day, I first saw a nurse who took my blood pressure and offered me a sedative to relax me. Mr Rehman immediately put me at ease and talked me through every step in the procedure. I had both eyes done which took fifteen minutes per eye. It was a strange feeling, but I felt minimum discomfort and no pain. After two days I could read tiny print. The only side-effects were a slight blurring at the edges of the eye and a slight grittiness, which wore off over the next few days. I do see a halo around bright lights at night but this is a minor inconvenience. At my post-op assessment seven days later my sight was exceptional. No more glasses or contact lenses. I cannot recommend Mr Rehman and his nursing staff highly enough!

From the initial meeting to the final review, Mr Rehman made me feel at ease. He has a very calming manner and I would recommend him to anyone. He is very approachable and friendly. During my procedure he explained again what was going to happen and talked me though the whole process . He is very professional and meticulous.
