About Mr Vinod Sharma
Mr Vinod Sharma is an experienced ophthalmologist who provides excellent care for patients of all ages at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital.
He has a special interest in paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus, and his extensive training ensures that he can provide the best possible treatment for children with eye disorders. He can screen for and treat premature infants who have retinopathy of prematurity.
Mr Sharma also offers cataract surgery and other laser procedures for adults suffering from conditions such as glaucoma, diabetes, or capsular opacification.
In addition to being a skilled surgeon, he is also active in teaching medical students, optometry students, and ophthalmic trainees.
He gained his medical degree in 1993 from Rajasthan University before undertaking postgraduate training in India, followed by higher specialist training in the North West of England. He has completed fellowships in paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at a leading eye institute in Southeast Asia as well as the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital.
