Ms Julie Kohls is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon who qualified in 1996 from the University of Western Ontario, Canada, before moving to the UK in 1999 where she continued her training. Ms Kohls was awarded the FRCS in Trauma and Orthopaedics by the Royal College of Surgeons in 2007, and has specialised in foot and ankle surgery since then. She also trained for a year at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, London, and completed a year as the Surrey Foot and Ankle Fellow at the Royal Surrey County Hospital and Frimley Park Hospital.

Passionate about assessing patients' biomechanics and helping them to improve the way they move and walk to alleviate symptoms and avoid surgery, Julie will always ensure if surgery is necessary, that it is kept to a minimum. She is constantly improving the treatment she can offer as surgical instrumentation and technology moves on, and is a strongly believes that surgery is only the beginning, working hard to make sure patients do the right exercises as part of their recovery to ensure the best possible outcome.

Outside of surgery Ms Kohls is involved in education, and has a Masters Degree in Surgical Education from the University of Toronto.
