I had quite complex surgery but Mr Mathew always put me and my family at ease with his explanation. He also made sure that post surgery I was listened to and had his support whilst in hospital and after discharge. I would recommend Mr Mathew to anyone as he is both an excellent surgeon and a lovely person.

My experience was very excellent

Mr Mathew was our consultant for our son who had large tonsils that were causing sleep apneoa. From the consultantation appointment Mr Mathew was very professional and gave a thorough explanation of my son's condition as well as treatment options including risks and benefits. We decided to go ahead with adenotonsillectomy as we were reassured the current operative method would allow easier recovery for our son. We were extremely happy with how swift the process was in planning and booking the operation. On the day of the operation Mr Mathew came before the operation and showed great bedside manner by building a good rapport with my son. He came to give me an update shortly after the operation and also before our son was discharged on the day. All relevant information was given. Mr Mathew also called a week or so later to see how our son was getting on. I am very pleased with the care we have received both by Mr Mathew and the staff at The Manor Hospital.
