From start to finish I received the at most professional service. The staff were very friendly helpful and on the day of surgery the nurses and surgeon made me feel very relaxed I was looked after so very well five star service.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Reception seemed disorganised, which didn’t help ease the nerves before a significant eye surgery. I had a long wait time before seeing the nurse, despite being their first appointment of the day. I believe this was because reception didn’t check me in properly on my arrival, and the nurse hadn’t realised I had been in the waiting room for 30 minutes.

I received excellent care throughout my surgery at Moorfields. My initial appointment was stress-free and informative - both my opthalmologist Leena Patel and my opthalmic surgeon Joanne Hancox were friendly, professional, and assuaged any worries I had about going forward with the surgery. The administration team were patient while I decided when to schedule the surgery, and were helpful in informing me how I could make payment for the surgery. On the day of my surgery, every member of staff I encountered was approachable, respectful, knowledgeable and professional. I particularly appreciated that I my questions about the surgical procedure, anaesthesia process, and timings of the surgery were answered to my satisfaction. I went into surgery feeling positive and reassured. I left the hospital knowing how to effectively care for my eye post-surgery, what to expect during the healing process, and with the assurance that I could contact hospital if I felt something was wrong. The only thing I would have changed was that both I (and my parents, who collected me post-surgery) had difficulty finding the Cumberledge Ward - it would have been useful to know which building we needed to go to!

Everyone was extremely nice. I don’t know what the normal wait time is but I was only seen by the doctor about an hour and a half after my appointment time. I think I waited an hour for the first set of tests than another half an hour for the second and then saw the doctor but all in all, it was fine.

I accept appointments run over but an acknowledgment of a late appointment should be made with a simple ‘sorry to have kept you waiting’.
