About Dr Ahmed Albu-Soda
I am a London-based gastroenterologist. I trained in world-class institutions such as the University of London and King's College. I was part of the multi-million prestigious Marie Curie Training Network in neurogastroenterology. My PhD, undertaken at the University of London, focused on digestive pain. My postgraduate certificate in general medical ultrasound was completed at King's College London.
I specialise in Endoscopy with over 1000 procedures per year with excellent safety and comfort scores, Ultrasound, Acid reflux testing and other digestive investigations.
In addition to my clinical work, I am involved in medical education, and I hold an honorary senior clinical lectureship at the Queen Mary University of London. I am also active in research with several publications in high-impact medical journals. I am routinely invited to speak at national and international conferences and training events as an expert in my field.

Dr Abusida gave me confidence and reassurance from the very first moment of consultation, right through my procedure (colonoscopy) and in recovery. I would highly recommend Dr Albusoda. I consulted him regarding my gut issues that had been going on for more than a year. He diagnosed my IBS and helped me keep my symptoms undercontrol. Very quick and easy procedure. I normally dread my colonoscopy because of the pain. No pain Or discomfort felt today. I'm very happy with my experience today.

Dr Albusoda exceeded my expectations. He was very gentle, explained the procedure thoroughly in advance and made me feel relaxed. I barely felt the endoscopy procedure. Just…INCREDIBLE!!

Very friendly and made me feel at ease. I was very nervous but that went away when he was explaining things and making jokes with me.

Dr Albusoda listened very carefully to my IBS related symptoms that have been on going for the past 37 years. These started after a knee to the stomach area in a martial arts tournament when I was 18 years old. He explained in detail how the gut works and what can cause problems. He also explained various tests that can be done at a later stage if needed. Dr Albusoda did not recommend jumping straight in and to carry out lots of tests that can be expensive. His method is understanding my symptoms and carrying out a tick box exercise 1st He has suggested changes to diet, supplements & medication and will review my symptoms in 8 weeks. Hopefully we find a solution that makes my life of a better quality. Regards Mr S
