The Wellbeing and Recovery Collective provide me with a safe space to openly explore issues blocking my recovery in a group setting. James is very knowledgeable about eating disorders and has helped me understand my condition, the triggers as well as supporting me to work on strategies to stay on track with my recovery. He is a calming and encouraging presence in group. I am extremely grateful for the support I have received. My recovery has improved hugely under his guidance.

I owe my life and happiness to getting the help I needed and finally being able to recover. I felt truly hopeless and getting therapy was my final try to recover from my eating disorder. And it worked! It wasn’t easy, not going to lie. It was a rollercoaster but so worth it. Throughout therapy I was always reminded of the bigger picture while making small steps, one day at a time. Went through highs and lows and in the end got my life back. The honesty in therapy was wat stood out most. I was faced with the fact it was never about the food. Not focussing on food but the feelings that were covered helped me process all that stood in the way if living my life. It’s so easy to do nothing, but it’s much more powerful to act and fight for your right to live. I worked hard for years. Found peace and the love of my life (literally being in treatment) who I can call my husband. The greatest thing I ever learned is to love and be loved in return.

From my very first consultation, Dr Panagiotopoulos demonstrated exceptional professionalism, compassion, and expertise. I was understandably anxious about having a pericardial cyst removed, but he took the time to explain everything clearly and honestly, putting me at ease every step of the way. The surgery itself went smoothly, and I felt truly cared for — not just as a patient, but as a person. Dr Panagiotopoulos combines world-class surgical skill with a warm, approachable manner that inspires total confidence. Thanks to him, I’m now recovering well and finally free of the discomfort and uncertainty that came with the cyst. I’m incredibly grateful to have been in such capable hands. Surgery was cancelled on the first occasion due to flooding in theatre from a blocked toilet. Otherwise everything went smoothly
